JAM x HILC: The Weekly Beat

Welcome to JAM and HILC!

Hello residents of JAM and HILC! Welcome (or welcome back) to Cornell! My name is Troy Feldman and I am the Residence Hall Director for JAM and HILC. As some of you may know, JAM and HILC are separate buildings but one community. This means that all JAM and HILC residents have ID card access to both buildings. Feel free to attend events and utilize common spaces in either building. 

On Fridays, please keep an eye out for our weekly newsletter titled "JAM x HILC: The Weekly Beat." Inside each edition will be information about upcoming programs, important reminders and updates, and more! If you ever want to include something in the newsletter, please email tf265@cornell.edu with your request by 12:00pm on the previous Wednesday. Thank you!

Upcoming Events

Take Out Your Trash and
Clear Your Hallway!

HILC and JAM share the same dumpsters during the academic year. They are located in the HILC Loading Dock. If you live in HILC, go down to the basement and exit the doors. If you live in JAM:

• Exiting from the Main Lobby, turn right and follow the path up to the dumpsters.
• Exiting from the Loading Dock, turn left and then left again heading toward the dumpsters.

Access to P-Space

Starting on Monday, August 26, you can email our P-Space Management Team, Rilo (rpo32@cornell.edu) and Josh (jnm224@cornell.edu). To set up a time to receive P-Space Usage Training. After receiving this training, you will be given an individual access code to our Recording Studio, Drum Practice Room, and Equipment Storage Room. Please note that we are able to track the usage of these access codes as a security measure, so please do not give your code out to others. If you have any questions, feel free to email our P-Space Managers, or the RHD Troy (tf265@cornell.edu).

If you know someone who wants to utilize our P-Space amenities, but they do not live in JAM or HILC, please refer them to our website to apply for P-Space Membership (previously known as Out of House Membership).

Residential Life and

RA On-Call for HILC, JAM, and Ujamaa: 607-327-1735
Weekdays 7:00pm-8:00am
Weekends: 24-hours a day

RHD Office Location: Between the Laundry Room and entrance to Unit 2 in JAM.

Cornell University Police Department (CUPD): If there's an emergency, contact CUPD at (607) 255-1111. 

Service center hours: Remember to check the student service center hours page to stay in-the-know about important updates and hours of operation. 

Maintenance requests: Use this page to submit maintenance requests for your residential space (HILC is "Internatl Living Low Rise 8 - 3208" and JAM is "North Campus Low Rise 9 - 3209").
