Steering is Eco's version of a hall/community council
Eco is a community where we all know, respect, and empower each other, and Steering is where we celebrate this every week! Your residence hall is your home away from home, so it's important to be involved in the place where you study, sleep, eat, make memories, find lifelong friends, develop leadership skills, and more. Steering is about an hour each week, and it's a fun, stress-free hour where you can pause all the academic stress and focus on truly getting everything you can out of your college experience!
Steering is the umbrella organization that supports the seven house committees (tons more info about them below). All residents are expected to be an active member in at least one committee, and they are great places to contribute to and benefit from your fellow Ecohousers. Eco has always been a community that is truly shaped by the residents, so if you're living here then be ready to be involved - you get out what you put in, after all!
