    The Eco Artivism Club at Cornell is a registered student organization of Cornell University. We are dedicated to promoting sustainable living through creative, art-based solutions to environmental challenges. Our mission is to inspire climate action and sustainable practices by harnessing the power of art to evoke emotion, spark dialogue, and drive change. Through workshops, exhibitions, and collaborative projects, we aim to equip the Cornell community with creative tools for a more sustainable future.

Fieldtrip | Soil Factory Sewing Hours

Join Eco Artivism and our sewing managers for a cozy evening of sewing and mending at Soil Factory! We’ll have a mending table, a creative sewing project station, and a clothing swap corner. Bring your beloved, old, or unwanted clothes—and let’s give them a second life together! Transportation will be provided, but a group departure time is set, so please show up on time. All materials will be provided so just bring some clothes! This is part of the Stitch and Sustain project co-developed by Eco Artivism and Soil Factory. Funded in part through a grant from the Community Partnership Funding Board, a program of the Einhorn Center for Community Engagement.

Collage Workshop: Upcycling Cornell Library Book Covers!

Did you know that many book covers are removed before books are placed on the shelves in Cornell Libraries? Join us for a collaborative event with the Cornell Mui Ho Fine Arts Library to turn these discarded book covers into creative collage art! You’ll also get to hear from the librarians about the library’s collection practices and take a guided tour of the Fine Arts Library to explore the resources available for eco-artists and creative researchers.

Upcycling Workshop: Knot Art with Climbing Ropes

Join Eco Artivism and Rock Climbing Club for a fun evening of making knot art decorations or pet toys with used climbing ropes! Hear from Rock Climbing Club members about the circular economy of climbing ropes and the membership benefits you can enjoy by joining Cornell Climbing Center now!

Sustainable Gift-Making Special Event for Thanksgiving

Welcome back eco artivists and cornellians! This is the annual event of Eco Artivism Club at Cornell. Join us for a fun adventure to make sustainable gifts for your loved ones to show your gratitude and appreciation! Last year we had sessions for candle-making with clean jars thrifted from ReUse Center, recycled paper making with paper waste collected on campus and pressed plants, wreath-making with fallen branches and cones. This year we are going to expand with collaboration with over 5 clubs across campus to celebrate with more creative activities! Please register now to stay in tuned and reserve your spot!
