About Us

We are a group dedicated to community and advocacy for graduate and professional students at Cornell who identify as disabled, neurodivergent, and/or chronically ill.
Disability+ aims to create an inclusive and safe environment for graduate and professional students at Cornell who identify as disabled, chronically ill, and/or neurodivergent. We also act as a hub for organization related to access, equity, and dismantling ableism at Cornell.
Disability+ was born from a need to organize and provide support as disabled grads during the on-going Covid-19 pandemic. We are the most recent addition to the GPS-DC despite the volume of grads who require SDS. Specifically, we advocate for the full participation of disabled grads in their programs at Cornell, and against all barriers that deprive us of this right.
We are a part of the Graduate and Professional Student Diversity Council and work closely with the Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement. This gives us access to institutional information that help our members advocate for their needs, and programming that enriches the experience of our members!
