North Baker

North Baker is an old, Gothic-style building, built in the 1920s. North Baker contains all of the Language House student rooms, a kitchen, common room, and study room.

Rooms and Furnishings

All student rooms are either singles, super singles, doubles, triples, or quads. Singles and super singles are in high demand and are prioritized to students who are either Resident Language Fellows, returning Language House students, and/or students with accommodation needs through Student Disability Services.

Student rooms in North Baker have an extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair, desk lamp, wardrobe or closet, and wastebasket/recycling bin for each occupant. The windows have shades and a screen.

North Baker Kitchen and Lounge

North Baker has a shared kitchen containing a table and chairs, a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and other appliances. A vending machine is available in the Common Room

The Common Room is a shared space with a TV, Roku, couches, chairs, and side tables. There are also board games, books, movies, and CDs in multiple languages for residents to use. Please read the North Baker Kitchen and Common Area rules before using the shared spaces.

North Baker has a study room with long desks, chairs, and lamps.
