About Us
We are an organization built for and by students. Cornell University Admissions Ambassadors partner and collaborate with staff in Cornell Admissions and partners in admissions and higher education in general including college access organizations nationwide to either, expose, introduce, or explain the Cornell or college student experience to prospective students, especially historically underrepresented students (including African American, Latino/a, First Americans (Native- American), Pacific Islander, bi-racial/multi-ethnic/multi-lingual, multi-abled, First-generation, Rural, Transfers, Veteran, etc.). CU DAA accomplishes these goals by coordinating and participating in volunteer recruitment activities including, but not limited to, recruit-a-thons, student hosting, high school / community-based organization (CBO) in-person (on campus) visits, virtual visits, virtual outreach programming, campus discussions, strong partnerships, strategic operations, and community outreach. CU DAA actively seeks opportunities to collaborate with other students, offices, and organizations committed to the recruitment, recognition, celebration, and retention of a talented and diverse student body. Through the collective, organized efforts of students, faculty, and staff throughout Cornell University, CU DAA strives to perfect Ezra Cornell's founding vision to create "…an institution where any person can find instruction in any study."
