Big Red THON is an independently registered, non-profit organization and Cornell's branch of the Children Miracle Network Hospitals Dance Marathon. We brought the Dance Marathon movement to the Ivy League in 2015, and have raised over $115,000 for Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse. Our yearly Dance Marathon, typically held in Barton Hall, is a celebration of the fundraising campaigns we've held leading up to the main event. BRT works with many on and off campus organizations, our sponsors, and those who help us get one step closer to ending childhood illness. Cornell University Emergency Medical Service (CUEMS) strives to provide professional,
efficient, and effective first-response basic life support care to the Ithaca campus and
surrounding areas. Serving Cornell students, faculty, staff, visitors, and their families,
CUEMS responds to all 911 calls for medical assistance twenty-four hours a day, seven
days per week during the academic year. CUEMS provides extensive, weekly training to
all squad members consisting of New York State certified emergency medical
technicians. Moreover, CUEMS offers training to the entire Cornell community in
cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillation, first aid, and activation
of emergency medical services. Working together with other emergency services from
Cornell University and Tompkins County, CUEMS provides a valuable resource to the
Ithaca campus and much of the surrounding Tompkins County community.

We aim to have a trained individual in all parts of campus, from Greek Life to on-campus housing. Through preventative measures, and an appropriately equipped campus community, we believe we can end overdose on campus.

GlobeMed is a student-run nonprofit that creates long-term partnerships between university chapters and grassroots health organizations in developing countries to strengthen the movement for global health and social justice.

Founded in the fall of 2010, GlobeMed at Cornell University is a sustainable global health organization that partners with a AMMID, Asociacion Maya-Mam de Investigacion y Desarrollo, in Comitancillo, San Marcos, Guatemala. Our projects take a holistic health approach, including environmental and nutritional implications and influence on locals' health.

Our chapter has about 30 active staff members and is managed by an executive board. We, the chapter members, work together with AMMID to implement long-term initiatives to better the health community members in Comitancillo.

Throughout the year GlobeMed at Cornell hosts educational events on campus, raises funds for our projects with AMMID, works on-site in Guatemala through organized internships during winter or summer breaks, learns to think critically about global health, and trains passionate leaders committed to realizing a world with equity in health.

We believe in the power of connection, compassion, and long-term community relationships as key elements of healing and awareness. Our group will collaborate closely with ANAD to ensure that all communication, programming, and educational materials use appropriate and recovery-supportive language. While we are an awareness-based organization and not a direct peer support group, we are committed to connecting any student who reaches out with body image or eating concerns to professional on-campus resources or to ANAD’s national peer support network. Through education, empathy, and advocacy, Cornell ASAP aims to create a campus culture that normalizes conversations about eating disorders and encourages help-seeking without stigma. It's important to recognize that Cornell currently has no student group dedicated to raising awareness and this gap leaves many students without a visible, supportive space to learn about prevention, recovery, and self-compassion. By establishing a chapter of ANAD’s School Ambassador Program at Cornell, we can create a community centered on education, awareness, and connection. The Cornell Body Positive Club has not been active for a few years, leaving a gap in the community.

Background and Mission: Despite their increasing presence in the collegiate environment, non-traditional students (NTS) are often overlooked and misunderstood, especially at the graduate level, with universities primarily catering to the needs of traditional students and lacking NTS support services. The definition of an NTS may vary, but a generally agreed upon definition for a non-traditional graduate student is someone who may be older (e.g., 25 years or older) than their fellow students and/or took a detour, rather than a direct route, from undergraduate to graduate school. This definition is inclusive of students who:
• Had a previous career/job before going back to school
• Are parents and/or have dependents
• Are caretakers
• Are military service members/veterans
• Employed full-time and/or goes to school part-time
• And/or financially independent

As we march towards a more inclusive environment within veterinary medicine, it is vital to support non-traditional DVM, MPH, and PhD students. Thus, the Association for Non-traditional Students (ANTS) aims to create a sustainable support network for non-traditional DVM, MPH, and PhD students at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). ANTS’ values and vision revolve around the following:
• Building community at Cornell, Ithaca, and beyond (including other DVM, MPH, and STEM PhD programs)
• Being a resource and sharing resources (e.g., student-parent childcare grants, mutual aid, and emergency funds)
• Outreaching to allied groups, programs, NT CVM alumni, and offices to further foster and advocate for the professional and social support of non-traditional students.
• Collaborating with allied groups that support the intersecting identities of NTS (e.g., but not limited to, FGLI, sNABV, PrideSVMC, WVLDI, GSVA, etc.) and also collaborating with multidisciplinary groups to support the diverse career pathways and trajectories of NTS at CVM.

The purpose of CVM Peer Mentors shall be to foster an environment that supports the first-year veterinary student’s transition into veterinary school by hosting various events throughout the school year to engage first-year students and the broader CVM community and offer opportunities for camaraderie, enjoyment, and an outlet for academic and personal challenges. As upper-class vet students who advise first-year students, PMs additionally collaborate with faculty and staff to tailor resources to student needs.

Our mission is to provide a gateway for Cornell pre-medical undergraduates to gain exposure to the medical field by pairing students with a Weill Cornell medical student mentor and organizing events that include trips to the Weill Cornell campus in NYC.

The broader vision of WIN is to bridge the geographical divide between the two campuses, thereby facilitating greater intercampus dialogue and collaboration at the student level. Distance should not become a significant obstacle for students' academic and professional growth. We hope to expand to include Physicians Assistants and PhD mentorship programs with Weill Cornell in the future.
