Our organization runs various events throughout the year to spread cancer awareness and raise money for the American Cancer Society. Our biggest event is Relay for Life, an all-night fundraiser that the entire Cornell community is encouraged to attend. We fundraise before and during the event, which includes speakers, performances, food, and activities.

ALCSIC aims to promote awareness for lung cancer screening for individuals at high-risk of developing lung cancer at Cornell University and the larger Ithaca community through educational efforts, community outreach, and health literacy engagement. APAA (established in 1972) is a group of passionate students dedicated to advocating for the AAPI community at Cornell. APAA builds on its past work in promoting the fundamental importance of political education and history through advocacy and discussion. AAPA is committed to furthering AAPI awareness on campus and to politically empowering and advocating for the needs of Asian-Pacific American students. Furthermore, APAA builds coalitions with other students of color and social justice groups to facilitate a more unified community of color. In the past two years, APAA held discussions on revolutionaries and thinkers like Grace Lee Boggs as well as relevant issues in the AAPI community such as affirmative action, rising gun violence in the AAPI community, and Asian-American history. We are also engaging with the greater Cornell community through fundraisers, panels, and other events to raise awareness about AAPI issues. APAA also publishes a literary magazine called Parallax, an Asian American social and political journal that highlights historical and contemporary AAPI topics of interest.

It is the purpose of The Black Women's Support Network to provide a supportive, educational, and social venue where women of African descent can discuss issues affecting and pertaining to their community. Support is consistently provided to these women by giving them ample access to all resources and tools needed to assist them in their academic, personal and social endeavors while at Cornell University. Items under this umbrella include, but are not limited to: academic workshops and development, sexual/mental/physical/emotional health assistance, and access to other supportive Black women through a variety of social events and initiatives such as the B.O.S.S. (Building Ourselves through Sisterhood and Service), a peer mentorship program for self-identified women of color. Moreover, the Black Women's Support Network aims to serve as a forum where women of color can share, reflect and gain knowledge from each other's experiences. BWSN seeks to accomplish this by providing engaging Sister Circle discussions on a regular basis throughout the year. Sister Circles are our unique form of General Body meetings which occur bi-weekly. The Black Women's Support Network also aims to reach out to other Black women within the Greater Ithaca Community through community service initiatives and interactions with young "at risk" females.

The mission of The College and Career Readiness Initiative is to establish a career and college mentorship program to provide a direct link between Cornell students with high school students. We have established a comprehensive academic curriculum used as a handbook to aid mentor meetings, accompanied with a podcast series. In collaboration with principals and counselors, CCRI has implemented pilot programs in high schools throughout Wayne and Tompkins County to complement current services available to students. We are continuing to expand our reach to connect with more high school students through our virtual mentor workshops.

The Cornell Anti-Detention Alliance, affiliated with the Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Cornell, supports detained and previously detained immigrants through direct services and grassroots advocacy. We demand a humane immigration system that does not exploit and incarcerate immigrants, in Upstate New York and beyond.

Our team will conduct virtual visitation with and provide direct social services for migrants detained at ICE detention facilities (facilitate their access to resources, support services, legal services)

We will also engage in political advocacy by spreading awareness about the immigrant detention system, organizing with statewide and national campaigns for immigrant justice, and fundraising for migrants in need of financial support.

GlobeMed is a student-run nonprofit that creates long-term partnerships between university chapters and grassroots health organizations in developing countries to strengthen the movement for global health and social justice.

Founded in the fall of 2010, GlobeMed at Cornell University is a sustainable global health organization that partners with a AMMID, Asociacion Maya-Mam de Investigacion y Desarrollo, in Comitancillo, San Marcos, Guatemala. Our projects take a holistic health approach, including environmental and nutritional implications and influence on locals' health.

Our chapter has about 30 active staff members and is managed by an executive board. We, the chapter members, work together with AMMID to implement long-term initiatives to better the health community members in Comitancillo.

Throughout the year GlobeMed at Cornell hosts educational events on campus, raises funds for our projects with AMMID, works on-site in Guatemala through organized internships during winter or summer breaks, learns to think critically about global health, and trains passionate leaders committed to realizing a world with equity in health.

Mission: GlobeMed aims to strengthen the movement for global health equity by empowering students and communities to work together to improve the health of people living in poverty around the world.

The Cornell Hawai'i Club is a cultural/social organization whose purpose is two-fold. First, we are here to welcome new and current students from Hawai'i and provide them with a network of other Hawai'i students in the Cornell and Ithaca areas. Second, we share the Hawaiian culture with the Cornell and Ithaca communities. The Hawai'i club completes these tasks through various events: spam musubi making nights, BBQ's, winter clothes shopping trips, and in the spring we put on a Lū'au! The club is not exclusive to students from Hawai'i; we include anyone who is interested in our beautiful home and wants to be included in the fun.
