Cornell ASME aims to enrich the lives of students of the Sibley School by providing professional and social networking events, information about post-graduation career paths, and local outreach activities. We uphold the ASME mission to serve diverse global communities by advancing, disseminating and applying engineering knowledge for improving the quality of life, and communicating the excitement of engineering.
Seminars with guest speakers, who are professionals working in the field, enable students to enhance their knowledge outside the classroom. Joint seminars let students meet and talk with other interested students. The networking, professional development events sponsored by ASME provide an opportunity for student members to gain an insight into the industry challenges, business practices as well as mentoring and career development opportunities.
