Engaging with faculty members for the first time can be scary but you don't have to do it alone. Join the Tatkon Center and North Campus Faculty in Residences for a series geared towards introducing you to faculty members outside of the classroom. During FIRst Faculty Fridays, come meet and engage with the different faculty in residence on North campus. You'll get a free mug to bring with you every week, some coffee, cookies and conversations. We can't wait to see you there!

This week we will be joined by Faculty in Residence of Clara Dickson, Dr. Connie Yuan. Y. Connie Yuan grew up in China and then immigrated to the U.S for her advanced degrees. She joined Cornell in 2004 and is now a professor in the Departments of Communication and Global Development. Her teaching and research interests include intercultural communication, social networks, knowledge management, and technology use in organizations. In addition, she enjoys meditation, ethnic cooking, and dragon boating on the lake.

Kristen Underhill is the Faculty in Residence at Ruth Bader Ginsburg House. She is a professor at Cornell Law and holds a joint appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Her research focuses on health law, including Medicaid policy, health care discrimination, and access to care; she teaches Torts, Health Law, and Law & Economics. She's often around North Campus with her family, including her 3 young kids.
