Our chapter at Cornell University was founded in 1998 and is one of over 190 College Chapters across the nation, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The purpose of this organization is to develop a strong and welcoming undergraduate culture in
the Applied & Engineering Physics department. This group will create an infrastructure for
undergraduates interested in or affiliated with A&EP to both act as and seek academic mentors,
spend more time with A&EP peers in a social setting, participate in outreach events to
encourage undergraduates to join the A&EP major, and to facilitate communication between the
undergraduate community and the A&EP department faculty. The A&EP Society intends additionally to provide opportunities for members to explore the applications of studying A&EP outside of the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom.

Big Red Ambassadors is a university club in which Cornell students, under the guidance of the Undergraduate Admissions Office work as liaisons between current students and prospective students. Big Red Ambassadors participate in University information sessions, responding to general student-life questions emailed to admissions, lead our Cornell Days program (a special on-campus program for admitted students), and in general, are a primary resource for prospective students and their families.

We work to bring Touchdown to every Cornell athletic event and every university event for which we are requested, along with certain requested private events.
