How does being in full “grind mode” affect your wellbeing and your academic performance? Why should you sleep well every day? Why should you take breaks? And how can you sleep and take breaks without feeling guilty?

Join us to discuss the science behind the need for sleep and rest, and what you can do when you’re tired but need to continue working.

This session is neurodiversity and sensory friendly, and we aim to create a safe environment. Please let us know how we can ensure that your needs are met.

Handouts & hands-on work
  • Mindfulness: it’s not just ummmms!
  • Pair-share: If you engage in mindfulness practices, share one or two that work for you and how they have helped you.
Getting things done – we’ll…
  • Create to-do lists and checklists that help you not have to remember it all.
  • Write “5 min tasks” or “things I can do when I have no brain power” lists to help you continue your progress without creating (more) mental fatigue.
Prioritizing and fighting perfectionism
  • Considering your current priorities, what can you do later? What can you scale back? Are you trying to submit perfect assignments?
