Do you do most of your learning during the few days before a test? Do you become overwhelmed and feel you cannot do it all? What are strategies that really work?

Join us to discuss better ways to manage your time and effort to learn effectively and minimize stress! We will also engage in activities that can help you succeed.

This session is neurodiversity and sensory friendly, and we aim to create a safe environment. Please let us know how we can ensure that your needs are met.

Handouts & hands-on work

  • Learning cycle

    • Using your preferred planner or a weekly calendar (available online and on paper), determine when you can do each part of the cycle, for all your classes.

  • Study strategies to try out

    • In pairs, students will share their own strategies and why they would recommend them to others. Then we’ll discuss as a group.

  • Fighting demotivation and procrastination

    • Think-pair-share what has been a challenge this semester, in relation to lacking motivation and procrastinating? What has worked for you in the past or this term that you’d recommend to others?
