A SEG field trip to the Sterling Hill Mining Museum in New Jersey. Being the home to over 90 types of fluorescent minerals that glow brilliantly under ultraviolet light, Sterling Hill is one of the world’s largest and most diverse fluorescent mineral localities and a premier historic zinc deposit! In this exclusive tour designated for students interested in geology and mining, we will tour through Zobel Hall Museum, the underground mine, Warren Museum of Fluorescence, and collect our own fluorescent ores from the mine run dump, under the guidance of the president of Sterling Hill Museum in a safe and learning-rich environment.
