This event as hosted by the RSC Advocacy Committee as well as Cornell Votes will include a discussion with both 5th ward representative candidates, Jason Hughton and Clyde Lederman. The 5th ward includes North, West, and some of South campus and thus the results of said election will have inherent impacts on the student body. Thus the purpose of this event is to provide more context for the election as well as spread awareness about how to vote.

Here is a link to the survey to submit questions for the event: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScRUwYK-pgyNWoqN67zkN-ekiaaVnsuBg-bfWxGxMMCyqxMvQ/viewform

Questions will be asked to both candidates to ensure fairness and will be created by RSC Advocacy Committee, Cornell Votes, and a form that will be sent to the entirety of North campus via RHDs about 1 week prior to the event. This form’s submissions will then be verified by RSC and Cornell Votes before being added to the final discussion questions. We will be supplying paper ballots of which participants can fill out at the end of the discussion. Paper ballots are being supplied by the Tompkins County Board of Elections.
