During this conversation, Kreitzer will discuss her work as a playwright, including her ongoing series of plays related to the climate crisis, and bringing her musical, Lempicka, to Broadway. The event will be moderated by PMA Associate Professor Beth F. Milles, and will include a Q&A with students.
Carson Kreitzer is a playwright, lyricist, and librettist. Her musical Lempicka played on Broadway in the spring of 2024, and is now running in Seoul, South Korea, through June. Current projects include her ongoing work centering the climate crisis: green, TIMEBOMB, and works-in-process Svalbard and The Trash Project, inspired by her time sailing with a group of artists in the Arctic Circle and Greenland.
The Professional Directions series brings industry experts to campus to speak about their career journeys as screenwriters, playwrights, editors, producers, directors, theatre critics, dramaturgs, and more.
