About Us
The purpose of Older Wiser Law Students (OWLS) shall be to foster a supportive community for students who have taken significant time off prior to law school; are transitioning into second careers; are partnered, married, and/or parenting; or view their academic path as non-traditional. We define a significant amount of time as 5 years or more separated from an undergraduate institution. The group caters to the social, academic, and other needs of those who are transitioning back to student life after a number of years out of school or who have serious non-academic commitments that fall outside of class.
