Community Cafe: How AI is shaping human relationships and moral judgement

Join us for an early lunch at our first Community Cafe series of the semester. This week we will be discussing AI with Matthew Lisonbee and Dyson Professor Pedro Perez.

Matthew Lisonbee is a PhD candidate in the Johnson School whose research examines how artificial intelligence is shaping human relationships, beliefs, attitudes, perceptions, moral judgment, and agency, particularly within organizational and professional contexts. Prior to entering academia, Matthew spent more than two decades in industry as an entrepreneur and consultant, working with organizations ranging from small businesses to large corporations. His research draws on this professional experience to investigate the social, psychological, organizational, and moral implications of AI, with particular interest in how emerging technologies influence the ways people understand themselves, relate to others, form beliefs, make decisions, and exercise agency.

Dyson Professor Pedro Pérez teaches large format introductory courses to business management and entrepreneurship. Professor Pérez has degrees in chemical and industrial engineering, and an MBA and PhD in management.
