Join us for a hands-on conservation and learning event at Sapsucker Woods in collaboration with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. This Earth Day adjacent activity will introduce students to invasive plant species and give them the opportunity to contribute directly to habitat stewardship.

The event will begin with a short, guided introduction from Lab of Ornithology staff on invasive species ecology: how plants like periwinkle and garlic mustard spread, why they pose challenges to native ecosystems, and what effective prevention and control look like in practice. Participants will work in small teams and take part in supervised removal of invasive plants in designated areas of Sapsucker Woods. All equipment will be provided. Transportation details forthcoming.

This event is part of the North Campus Sustainability Series and is sponsored by Faculty Living-Learning Programs.
