Iconic Cornell - Cornell Daily Sun Tour

Meet the students behind The Cornell Daily Sun, the nation’s oldest continuously independent college daily newspaper. Since 1880, The Sun has helped tell Cornell’s story — covering campus life, breaking news, opinion, sports, arts, and the issues that shape the university. Join current editors and reporters for a behind-the-scenes look at student journalism at Cornell and learn how first-year students can get involved as writers, photographers, editors, designers, podcasters, or business staff.  We will travel to their downtown office for a tour, learn to use the bus, and then stop for delicious, handmade snacks downtown before heading back to campus.

Travel details:
Meet Donlon faculty-in-residence, Sabrina Karim, and RHD Haley, inside the first floor of Robert Purcell Community Center (near Bear Necessities) at 4:15pm to board the TCAT bus and travel downtown for a 5:00pm tour of The Cornell Daily Sun. Immediately following the tour, enjoy Mama Said Hand Pies and desserts at Press Bay Alley before boarding the bus back to campus.

This event is part of the "Iconic Cornell" series, and is open to all undergrads. It is a faculty-in-residence sponsored event.
