Native American and Indigenous Students at Cornell

NAISAC

  • Community

NAISAC hosts and participates in year-around events that include study sessions, late-night breakfasts, guest speaker series (with soup!), and campfires/bonfires when the weather is warm!

We frequently collaborate with the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program (AIISP), the American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES), the Indigenous Graduate Student Association (IGSA), and the Native American/Indigenous Mentoring Program (NAIMP) to bring these events to life and sustain our tight-knit community!

  • Native Leadership

NAISAC has a long, proud history of fostering native leadership in local grassroots organizations, career and industry-specific groups on campus, and in members' home communities. Members have been in such spaces as the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) and the yearly conference of the Ivy Native Council (INC).

We aim to put into practice the leadership of indigenous peoples and youth across the continent and in Gayogo̱hó:nǫˀ geh. At NAISAC, you will find ready-made support to advance indigenous peoples' interests, especially for our community on campus and in the surrounding area.
