About Us
The mission of Litera shall be to provide educational outreach opportunities to elementary, middle, and high school students in Ukraine in the form of virtual group outreach sessions led by Cornell students, faculty, and staff who are volunteer members of Litera.
Litera's current focus is providing students in Ukraine who are taking English courses in school with English-speaking conversation and writing partners from the Cornell University community. Litera’s goal is to foster an educational environment which is safe, encouraging, welcoming, and fun for all participating students and volunteers. Our programs are designed to positively supplement the participating students’ educational experiences while reinforcing an overall support for Ukraine and fostering meaningful cross-cultural connections.
