Carolina Osorio Gil

Carolina Osorio Gil '02 is an MS/PhD student in Development Sociology (CALS) where her current research involves doing theater work with women in rural villages in Chiapas, Mexico, around water issues and water governance. She lives in Ithaca with her Miniature Schnauzer Goodie and has worked as an Actor & Director, Chef, Community Organizer, and Knowledge Coordinator at a local robotics company. Caro is passionate about self-care, yoga, bike riding, gardening, social justice, and the arts. She was born in Bogotá, Colombia, where her family lives, and is a formerly undocumented person. She graduated from Cornell in 2002 with a BA in Cognitive Psychology and has an MA in Early Childhood Education Teaching & Curriculum from Columbia University Teachers College.
