Bias in the systematic design of medical devices results in unjust health disparities. Cornell alum and founder of the Quality of Academy for Excellence, Lori-Ann Archer will present a white paper written in collaboration with the Biomedical Device project team in which she proposes regulatory guidance on how to build equity into all stages of the medical device design control process. These improvements will provide tools for students and leaders in the field to be socially responsible by building equitable products that meet the needs of all people in our diverse nation.
Food Provided (Light refreshments will be provided at the reception following the keynote seminar and discussion.)
