New to grad or professional life at Cornell? Start here. Big Red Table is a welcome dinner just for new graduate and professional students, hosted at the Big Red Barn, the campus hub built for exactly this community.

Starting a new program can feel like a lot, and building a support network early makes a real difference. Strong connections are linked to better wellbeing, more resilience, and a smoother transition into your studies, while going it alone can wear you down.

Over a shared meal, you'll meet other new students navigating the same first-semester questions, plus peer and staff facilitators who know the ropes and are happy to point you in the right direction. It's a low-key, welcoming way to find your people and get to know the Barn, a space you'll want to come back to all year.
