This session draws inspiration from the work of Tricia Hersey—founder of The Nap Ministry and this year’s MLK Commemoration Speaker. Grounded in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of the Beloved Community, this class invites participants to explore rest as a radical, justice‑centered practice that sustains resilience and collective care. Participants are encouraged to attend Tricia Hersey’s MLK lecture and rest sessions earlier in the week as a foundation for deeper reflection and engagement in this class.
