The movie is based on a true story, the attempt by Nazi Germany to crash the Allied economies by introducing reams of forged dollars and pounds, notes created by a press-gang of Jewish counterfeiters, engravers, bankers and printers in a concentration camp, whose lives depended on creating convincing fakes.

Cory Doctorow is a science fiction author, activist and journalist known for his work on digital rights, copyright reform, and internet freedom.
