An indigenous Mexican immigrant, activist, historian, and “Cleveland’s Burlesque Queen,” Bella Sin will Zoom in for a lecture and Q&A delving into the union of burlesque and activism, exploring how an immigrant performer navigates their identities to promote social change within the arts community. The event is a collaboration between Gender Equity Resource Center, Mulmul Collective (Cornell's premiere multimedia multilingual magazine and collective), and The Lodge (Ithaca's independent, tenant-owned co-op housing low-income QTBIPOC).

At the in-person live-stream location, provided will be Bella Sin's vegan, cruelty-free, child-labor-free beauty products (raffle), copies of The Rustbelt Burlesque book featuring Bella Sin's story (giveaway), and affordable Mexican vegan food plates will be for sale at emerging vendor Tavo's stall. Proceeds will go towards supporting The Lodge and Bella Sin's work.
