SAGE is a program produced by a collaborative effort between the GenEQ Resource Center and Cornell Athletics. The program provides a safe space that supports the unique nature of woman-identifying athletes' academic, athletic, and personal identities. The goal of this evolving program is to create and grow a culture within the athletics community to empower all of the woman-identifying and gender expansive athletes we work with. During the event, our panelists will delve into a variety of topics, including the shift from athletic training to career development, managing social life post-college sports, and navigating mental health challenges that often arise after the structure of competitive athletics. Panelists will share personal stories, offer practical advice, and answer questions from the audience on how they adapted to life after sports, dealt with identity shifts, and built fulfilling careers and relationships.
