Details
We invite you to join us in watching "To Kill A Tiger" with care and compassion—for yourself, and for those around you. This screening centers the survivor’s courage and the power of advocacy. As a community, we will reflect on how we can support survivors and engage each other in prevention, education, and justice work.
Content Warning:
"To Kill A Tiger" includes emotionally intense and sensitive material, including: sexual violence and trauma; gender-based violence; societal and familial responses to abuse; legal and cultural challenges faced by survivors. This documentary follows the real-life story of a family in rural India as they seek justice after their teenage daughter survives a brutal assault. The film includes personal testimony and depictions of systemic injustice that may be activating or distressing for some viewers.
A victim advocate/support person will be present throughout the event. Supportive resources will be available during the screening and discussion. If at any point you need to step away, please know that’s okay—your well-being is important. A quiet space will be nearby if you need a moment to pause or reflect. After the film, we’ll hold a facilitated conversation rooted in restorative and trauma-informed practices.
Doors open at 7 PM, the screening starts at 7:30 PM with Q&A and discussion to follow at 8:30 PM. Dinner and light refreshments will be provided.
