Are you looking to build your teaching experience, engage with the community, and bring your academic work to the next generation? If any of these are of interest, we encourage you to apply to GRASSHOPR, a grad student-run organization under the umbrella of the Einhorn Center that allows you to teach 3-5 mini-lessons to K-12 students in the local area on topics related to your research. Being a GRASSHOPR Fellow allows you the freedom to design your own course, either independently or with the collaboration of other grad students, and the opportunity to collaborate with a local teacher matched specifically with you based on shared interest. We offer funds for materials you will need to deliver your lessons, and provide workshops that will prepare you to teach online or in person (depending on the school district and teacher you are matched with) in the spring semester.
We are excited to announce the launch of our 2025-2026 GRASSHOPR applications! For more information about our organization, check out our website here.
