Join the Cornell Filipino Association for Philippine Culture Night, an evening of celebration, education, and cultural immersion that showcases the rich heritage of the Philippines! Experience the grace and energy of traditional dances that highlight Filipino history, traditions, and regional diversity; whether you're Filipino or simply curious about the culture, CFA’s spring play promises vibrant performances, authentic experiences, and a warm sense of community.

Please note that we will have to manually confirm your RSVP after you have paid the $3 per ticket to our treasurer Garret Bouvier, either through Venmo (@garretbouvier) or Zelle (garretbouvier28@gmail.com). Performers and volunteers do not need to RSVP or pay! If you are not a performer or volunteer, then please use the link next to "RSVP" above to pay for your tickets. All PCN ticket proceeds will be donated to PUSO, an international nonprofit that empowers individuals to be involved in service work ♥️ After we have confirmed your payment, we will manually confirm your RSVP on our end, so please check back after a few days to ensure that your registration shows up on CampusGroups. If your tickets are not showing up, then we either are still waiting for your payment or have not had the chance to confirm your registration yet, so you may need to check again in a couple of days. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions ☺️ We can't wait to see you at PCN!

— Play Synopsis —

Tala has always been the shining star of her family. Born a 2nd generation Filipino-American, she takes on the responsibility of preserving the traditional aspects of her culture through dance; internally, however she struggles with her place in the Filipino world. One day, Tala is visited by spirits that perform traditional Filipino dances, causing her to fear the unknown identity that she has strived to achieve all her life. Terrified by this feeling, Tala goes to her family for help, only to find out that her family, too, is haunted.

Through Tala’s story, we learn about the dissonance within the Filipino-American identity and how it interacts with Filipino culture. What does it mean to be haunted by the thing you are chasing?
