Mission:
The Office of First-Generation & Low-Income Student Empowerment aims to celebrate, support, and equip first-generation students at Cornell University through a full day conference that fosters community, provides essential resources, and promotes personal and academic success.
Conference Overview:
Join us for a conference dedicated to First-Generation students at Cornell University on November, 9, 2024. The conference will include a welcome ceremony, breakout sessions covering topics to support First-Generation students, keynote speaker, and a life-skills fair.
Objectives:

To create an inclusive environment where First-Generation students feel celebrated and supported by providing essential resources and knowledge of campus life, financial aid/literacy, life transition, and well-being.

To promote well-being and academic and personal success, while fostering an asset-focused environment that recognizes and celebrates the unique strengths and accomplishments of first-generation students.
Please note that this conference will not be offering honorariums or monetary compensation for presentations that are accepted.
