This presentation will outline the tax filing requirements, tax return issues, and tax credits common among students. We will discuss issues like dependency, education tax credits, and out-of-state income, and we’ll have ample time for Q&A at the end!

This is a collaboration between FGLI Student Support and Professor Godwin and his students from SC Johnson.

Thomas Godwin is a professor of practice in the accounting area of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management within the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University. Godwin came to Cornell from Purdue University, where he was an assistant professor of accounting. He earned his PhD in accounting from Purdue and a master's and bachelor's degree in accounting from Clemson University. He is a licensed CPA in New York and South Carolina and holds a CGMA designation through the AICPA.
