About Us
The mission of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA), Cornell Law School, Student Chapter (hereinafter "Cornell CABA"), is to promote membership with the Cuban American Bar Association among current students at Cornell Law School. Cornell CABA membership is open to anyone who is interested in legal issues arising in the local community, and is determined to give back to the community using their legal skills. Our organization seeks members who share our vision of making a positive difference in the world. Cornell CABA will strive to foster the relationships between student members and the professional members of the Cuban American Bar Association, by hosting and promoting networking events and functions held by main chapter of the Cuban American Bar Association, while encouraging on-campus events with legal professionals. Cornell CABA's mission is to promote equality of our members; increase diversity in the judiciary and legal community; serve the public interest by increasing awareness to the study of jurisprudence; foster respect for the law; preserve high standards of integrity, honor, and professional courtesy among our peers; provide equal access to and adequate representation of all minorities before the courts; facilitate the administration of justice; build close relationships among our members; and support the indigent community through effective pro bono service projects in the community.
