Cornell Concert Commission and Orientation Steering Committee are excited to present Cautious Clay on Wednesday, August 25th in Schoellkopf Stadium at 7 pm, free to the Cornell community.

Joshua Karpeh, aka Cautious Clay, has been making music since taking up the flute at age seven, although he has since picked up the saxophone, keyboard, and guitar. His sound blends R&B, hip-hop, and experimental indie, with dark and engaging production built upon a unique combination of organic instruments, digital programming, and soulful vocals. This can be heard in his successful 2017 single "Cold War" and the 2019 "Swim Home," recently heard in the soundtrack of Thirteen Reason Why's third season. In addition to his own music, Clay has also brought his talents to artists such as John Mayer, John Legend, and Taylor Swift. His third studio album, Deadpan Love, released on June 25th, 2021, with the singles "Karma & Friends," "Wildfire," and "Shook."
