About Us
The Cornell Weed Club is a student-led group dedicated to exploring the science and practice of weed management. Our mission is to bring together students who share an interest in weeds, herbicides, and sustainable agriculture, and to create a space where we can learn from each other, faculty, and professionals in the field. We meet regularly to discuss new research and technologies in weed science, learn how to identify weeds and herbicide injury symptoms, and prepare for the annual Northeastern Weed Science Society Weed Contest. The club also plans to organize guest lectures and workshops led by Cornell Weed Science faculty to help students gain deeper insights into current research and practical applications. In addtion, the club will aid in mantaining Cornell University's Weed Science Teaching Garden which includes more than 125 different agricultral weed species.
