To celebrate Earth Day, CFIN and Cornell Thrift are collaborating to host a screen printing workshop! This workshop is the second, and only in-person, event in CFIN's sustainable fashion week.
The purpose of this workshop is to teach attendees about sustainable ways to up-cyle clothing. Screen printing is a great way to up-cycle as it repurposes old garments with a new design. This gives fabric a new life, instead of just sitting in a landfill.
For the workshop, bring an item of clothing that you don't wear much anymore and screen-print on a brand new design! Some good items to bring for screen printing include t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, denim, canvas tote bags, etc. Just in case you don't have an item to bring, Cornell Thrift is providing some extra back-up garments for you to choose from.
Prior registration for this event is MANDATORY in order to properly follow Cornell University's Covid Guidelines.
