Course materials posted on CampusGroups are intellectual property belonging to the author. Students are not permitted to buy or sell any course materials without the express permission of the instructor. Such unauthorized behavior constitutes academic misconduct.

What Information is Shared

Currently enrolled students have the following directory information automatically populated within the CampusGroups environment: Preferred Name [first, middle, last], NetID, Cornell Email Address, **Whether you have elected to suppress your FERPA directory information within Student Center

**NOTE: if you have elected to suppress your directory information within Student Center, your information will only be visible to select CampusGroups administrators, Cornell University Student and Campus Life Staff, and only student groups in which you've explicitly consented to participate. No other students or individuals with access to the environment will be able to access or view your information.

Information CampusGroups may gather:

CampusGroups makes use of Google Analytics to gather metrics on site usage including geographic location of visitors, pathways navigated through the website, and which portion of our audience is internal to the Cornell network. As part of Google Analytics, CampusGroups also gathers device and browser-related information.

Information you may optionally share:

During the course of using this platform or participating in activities of student organizations hosted within it, you may be asked to supply other information such as gender, bio, social media handles, contact information, etc.

Use of Information

Should you join a student organization or participate in events on campus, your basic student directory information and additional information you provide is used by these campus organizations and groups to facilitate further engagement with you. This environment is intended for these organizations to manage their clubs, residence hall programs, and other campus events. Users of the CampusGroups platform are expected to adhere to the data stewardship policy.

CampusGroups uses gathered information to track user trends and site usage with the goal of improving visitors' experience and optimizing their websites. They also use the information to administer the website and prevent abuse.

Manage your Settings

Directory information automatically populated within the CampusGroups platform (such as your preferred name and whether you are choosing to hide your directory information) must be updated from Student Center rather than CampusGroups. Additional information you share within CampusGroups will only be visible within this environment and these changes will not be reflected in other campus systems.

Occasionally, student organizations hosted on this website may link to external websites that Cornell University neither owns nor controls. Cornell University is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or web accessibility needs on these websites.
