Join Professor Marvin Pritts for a flora design workshop! Arranging flowers had developed as both an art and science at least as early as 5000 BCE with Egyptians documenting this in paintings and in remnants in tombs. Modern florists use design concepts such as color complementarity, rhythm, balance, harmony, focus, unity, and scale to create their arrangements. This workshop will guide participants through basic floral design and will result in an arrangement to take home that will last for at least a week.
