This semester Artsy will be giving out 10 disposable film cameras to students to make still image documentaries about any subject they desire over the course of several weeks. At the end of the time return these cameras to Becker where they will be sent to photolab to develop the film. These images will be exhibited in Becker at the end of the project. Documentaries can be any subject that you find compelling and want to document with photographs. For example they could include taking pictures of you and your friends at parties, your morning routine, pictures of each of the friends you see throughout the day, nature you encounter on campus or during a break, political demonstrations, carry the camera with you throughout the day and snap a picture of something interesting you find on your way to class.

During part 1, Come and meet Film Director and Novelist Robert H. Lieberman (’62), our newest House Fellow. He’ll be showing clips from some of his films and will be happy to talk to you about the process of movie production and novel writing. This will prime us to think about our own documentaries. Please attend this to ensure you can get a camera at our second meeting.
