Black Convocation

An annual event that welcomes new and returning Black students to Cornell in the fall to celebrate the school year. (featuring performances and class pictures).Black convocations aim to create a sense of community and belonging for Black students on campus. These events often include speeches from distinguished Black alumni, faculty, or community leaders, as well as cultural performances, music, and other activities that celebrate Black heritage and accomplishments.
