All students are welcome to join us for this collaborative effort, designed to engage you in artistic exploration and cultural reflection. Through interactive experiences like bookmaking, you will connect with museum collections, discover the power of artistic expression, and create your own works inspired by your creativity, experiences and heritage.

During this session, we will enjoy bead and wire jewelry-making. You will learn how to use the materials and pliers to make bracelets, earrings, or keychains.

Art & Empowerment aims fosters self-expression, community building, and a deeper appreciation for the role of art in empowerment.

Hosted Black Student Empowerment within the Centers for Student Equity, Empowerment, and Belonging and Johnson Museum of Art.
