The Advocacy Lab will empower female and gender minority S.T.E.M. students by engaging attendees in a dialogue about advocacy skills, facilitated by a speaker panel and networking social. For the speaker panel, we will invite 3-5 female or gender-minority S.T.E.M. professionals to share their experiences through questions crowd-sourced from our collaborators. In-person attendees will then be invited to a networking social where they can interact with female-led labs and S.T.E.M. empowerment organizations in a single space (with refreshments and resources!). Simultaneously, hybrid attendees will have the opportunity to ask Advocacy Project TAs about actionable advocacy skills.
