Mission
Within Risley, The Shops have historically been student run, allowing all possible creativity and use. However, student safety is at risk without proper training and knowledge. Therefore, we have created The Risley Ministry of Arts and Shops to balance student safety and student use. The mission of the Risley Ministry for Arts and Shops Development (RMASD) is to promote safety throughout the shop spaces, promote communication among residents, student volunteer managers, residential staff, professional staff, and the public, and promote documentation with standard operating procedures, inventories, and minutes. The Ministry also seeks to progress and develop the Risley Shops into a functioning space for artists and performers of both Risley and the University as a whole.
