About Us

The Cornell Anti-Detention Alliance, affiliated with the Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Cornell, supports detained and previously detained immigrants through direct services and grassroots advocacy. We demand a humane immigration system that does not exploit and incarcerate immigrants, in Upstate New York and beyond. Our team will conduct virtual visitation with and provide direct social services for migrants detained at ICE detention facilities (facilitate their access to resources, support services, legal services) We will also engage in political advocacy by spreading awareness about the immigrant detention system, organizing with statewide and national campaigns for immigrant justice, and fundraising for migrants in need of financial support.  we plan on involving the community through direct education and advocacy campaigns
