Dr. Meghan Herron, DVM, DACVB is the Senior Director of Behavioral Medicine, Research, Education, and Outreach at a Gigi's animal shelter in Columbus, Ohio. Previously, she worked as an associate professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at The Ohio State University, and she has written "Decoding Your Cat," "Decoding Your Dog," and a textbook "Introduction to Animal Behavior and Veterinary Behavioral Medicine."

Dr. Herron will be discussing behavior problems in shelter medicine. Within a shelter, establishing a process to triage adopter behavior concerns may help preserve adoptions by directing owners to appropriate assistance. Dr. Herron will be discussing how to triage behavior concerns that are seen in dogs post-adoption.
