The mission of Cornell ACLU is to educate the Cornell community about their legal rights and to actively advocate for the protection of these fundamental liberties on campus.

Members Benefits

Cornell ACLU members are empowered to make a real difference within the Cornell community, having the opportunity to expand their legal knowledge while advocating for civil liberties concerns on campus. Members actively participate in 'Know-Your-Rights' campaigns that aim to research, understand, and promote materials outlining the legal scope of various social justice issues on campus, including LGBTQ+ rights, tenants' rights, disability rights, Title IX rights, protest rights, and more. Members will also have the privilege to attend informative and engaging guest speaker events led by Cornell law professors, legal activists, and law students.

Exclusive Resources

Remain informed on current ACLU & NYCLU efforts to defend and promote civil liberties. Interact with guest speakers in discussions about salient legal issues.
